SUMMARY

There should really be a progress bar when I right click some photos and do "Move to album". 

With large albums I don't know when it is the time to eject an external hard disk securely.

Which version do you use ? I think Maik has fixed this problem with next 6.0.0...

Yes, digikam-6.0.0 shows a progress bar when moving or copying images. However, a moving process as shown in the video is so fast that the progress bar would not fade in. But when moving images to a network drive or USB medium or copying large video files within the collection, the progress bar would appear.
