stack trace describing crash after Ctrl+Alt+F and results in Search view
I'm able to reproduce this crash. Please follow below steps: 1. In KDevelop open couple cpp files from your project 2. Run application in debug mode. Please note that application need to crash (cpp file where this is happen should to be already opened) 2. After you meet crash, open "Frame stack" view and jump to affected line 3. Switch to another cpp file 4. Highlight any string (which occurs in cpp files from project) 5. Invoke Alt+Ctrl+F, and alternatively press OK In result KDevelop can immediately crash or just crashes after will find results. I met crash in two such cases. I attach stack trace after second type of crash. Hey Piotr, thanks again for your high-quality bug reports! What about taking it one step further, compile KDevelop yourself and investigate the issue? The KDevelop project would love to have more helping hands. See https://www.kdevelop.org/contribute-kdevelop for how to get started. It's really easy these days, you can get along by just dealing with kdevelop.git (i.e. no other dependencies). Note: Can't reproduce your crash. It would help if you had the debug symbols of the grepview plugin as well, in order to see the line numbers in the backtrace. Again, maybe best done by compiling KDevelop yourself. Ok. I did what you suggested at: 2019-01-09 09:40:47 CET Therefore I built KDevelop from sources (used branch 5.3, including commit made at: 2019-01-11 09:52:46 +0100). And installed two following packages: $ pacman -Q | grep kdeve kdevelop .r40492.2cb06891a4-1 kdevelop-debug .r40492.2cb06891a4-1 Without problem I reproduced described crash. In attachment please find report produced by "Crash Reporting Assistant". Thank you for the crash report. As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I have set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved/worksforme" when you respond, thank you. I was not able to reproduce this bug. I close this report. |
