Created attachment 117083 [details] qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation SUMMARY Maximization effect doesn't work for some windows even though I slowed the effect down. The affected windows are native Wayland applications while for XWayland applications maximize effect works perfectly. I tried native wayland apps such as systemsettings5, smplayer, qtcreator, weston-terminal and apps that use XWayland like firefox, gimp, glxgears. The maximize effect doesn't work for wayland native apps while it perfectly works apps run through XWayland. OBSERVED RESULT Maximizing native wayland windows happen immediately without showing any effects. EXPECTED RESULT Maximizing native wayland windows renders maximization effect.
