SUMMARY
I installed Fedora 28 KDE Live x86_64 as Virtual Machines  on Qemu/KVM and VMware.If I input wrong password once on sddm login page . After I logout from Fedora, then the fedora always show me a black screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Fedora 28 KDE Live x86_64 as Vm on Qemu/KVM or VMware;
2. on login page, input incorrect password;
3. waiting for the system show error messages ,then input correct password and click login button;
4. in kde desktop, click logout menu from start menu;
5. on the logout greeter dialog, click "logout";
6. the system will show a black screen,if it does not show black screen ,please repeat from step 2 to step 5

OBSERVED RESULT

the system show a black screen.

EXPECTED RESULT

the system should show login page.

So to make sure I've got this correct, this is an unchaged Fedora, and you've installed on both qemu and kvm and they both have the same behaviour?

Can you run "ps ux" from a terminal (you might need to switch to a new VT) when the black screen is showing?

Also please include SDDM and user session logs. (probably journalctl -u sddm and ~/.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log)
