Description claudio donoso 2018-12-23 04:14:37 UTC
After update from centos7 Rls 3.10.0.862 to 953
the monitor resolution changed to 640x480. I tried to fix it, e.g. to 1280x1024, but I could not: with xrandr, GUI manager and even creating the file etc/x11/xorg.conf.
For many years, from centos 5, it worked ok.
I'm using an HP ML110 G6, with a graphic driver MGA G200 and LG 20" monitor. May be I'll have to reinstall the OS or change to debian, ubuntu or other (?).
Thanks in advance.

CentOS 5 was using KDE 3.

CentOS 7 is using KDE 4.

KDE 4 has been unmaintained and unsupported for over four years. :) You might consider upgrading to a distro that ships more recent software or else using the stock GNOME interface if you have to stay with CentOS.
