It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about, so I've fixed the subject for you -- at least, I think that this is what you were talking about. I cannot reproduce the issue though, not on Windows and not on Linux. Hi. The problem was resolved when I uninstalled Krita, then downloaded and reinstalled the software. One other thing I have noticed is that the programme does not minimise which I would prefer. A good piece of software though and I was impressed enough to donate. Kind regards Thanks :-). It's weird, though, because I can minimize Krita to the taskbar without problems. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place, i.e., top right hand corner for minimising the window-? Also clicking on the icon in the taskbar does not minimise the window. Any ideas? Did you accidentally make Krita full-screen so the system titlebar is hidden? I am sure not as I can see the file menu along the top, i.e. File Edit Image etc... nothing in the top right hand corner. I had a good look round, but could not see anything that may lead to this problem..... Must be me.. 70 years old and a little myopic! I can provide a screen shot if necessary. Regards Alan The file menu doesn't disappear if you make Krita full-screen -- that only happens in canvas-only mode. A screenshot of the entire display, not just Krita, would be helpful. I still cannot visualize the problem -- a screenshot or screen recording is necessary, I'm afraid. Problem solved. I didn't realise that you have to go to view to deselect the full screen mode. Guess I'm used to aiming for the top right hand corner of the screen as in other software. However, I did notice that, in "show canvas only", I couldn't find a way back and had to use task manager to exit Krita... Not sure why this is??? You can go back by pressing Tab Oh, and the default shortcut for switching full screen mode is ctrl-shift-f in Krita. You can change that to another shortcut in the settings. On some operating systems/desktops, F11 also works because that's the window manager's shortcut. I never knew about the fullscreen widget that appears when going to the top-right corner: it's not something that all applications do or have, so I suspect it's some microsoft innovation that hasn't spread to the toolkit level yet.
