Just to add to expected results: The list of results should be ranked with the closest match at the top of the list. Because these applications don't offer metadata for the software center. If you want to list these, you'll have to enter the exact package name. Suggesting gsmart control and lm-sensors to provide good appstream information would definitely be a step in the right direction. Aleix, first up, if Muon can do it there is obviously the information available somewhere. To say that in 2018 we have to imagine we are back in 1990 to search for something on the internet is just absurd. Second up, what you say does not address the variety of observed results I have experienced. Your explanation is highly suspect given the observed result listed in point 2 (the correct result was shown but then disappears). In addition how can there be varying results from the same input unless there is something else causing a problem. It is not clear to me what your second paragraph is saying or requesting. |
