Did you do an update recently without rebooting?
Comment 2 aSystemOverload 2018-12-18 22:46:49 UTC
Yes, I don't reboot unless changing hardware, kernel or something is 'broken' rendering the system useless.
I've just rebooted it and it now works. Is it possible to write updates in a way that does not require reboots?
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2018-12-18 22:53:10 UTC
You do not really need to reboot, but logout of the currently running Plasma session, whenever you are updating Qt or KDE components.
Comment 4 Kai Uwe Broulik 2018-12-19 08:15:57 UTC
Probably also could have restarted kdeinit
Comment 5 Kai Uwe Broulik 2018-12-19 08:16:13 UTC
"or something is 'broken' rendering the system useless." I guess this qualifies.
