Description Eckard Gerlach 2018-12-09 01:14:07 UTC
SUMMARY
Latest stable version 17.04.3
take a screen recording clip, speed it up, tilt it. place it 2 or 3 times to timeline. Then collect many elements with mouse, move them few second to left or to right. Save , close kdenlive, then reopen. Then several elements are mixed, speed up is lost partially, elements in timeline are moved. I have so make all new.
Workaround: before moving in timeline render a extra small clip (mp4) of the clips that are speeded up and tilted. Delete originals, insert new video.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. screen recording clip, speed it up, tilt it
2. make 2 or 3 such clips
3. move them together in timeline

OBSERVED RESULT
elements, transitions mixed, lost, ...

This issue is known. The speed effect is still not stable even in the latest version 18.08.3 (use the AppImage). Maybe it’s a bit better.

In the upcoming refactoring release the speed effect is completely new written.

Use the speed effect with care.

Thank you for fast answer. Thank you for information that "speed" is the problem.
I will render a extra clip, e.g. myclip-speed150percent.mp4 and will re-integrate it to the project. I can live with that bug.

Thank you to all KDE programmers, developers, .. It's a wonderful software! Drawing strokes with head in "Add title clip" would be helpful, and inserting pics by drag&drop. The rest is nearly perfect! I'll make a donation again!

Thank you for the feedback. I don’t understand really what you mean by “Drawing strokes with head". Yes, drag/drop picture into the title clip would be nice. Please open a new “Bug” for these 2 items and declare the Importance as wishlist.
