You can rename multiple files at once and provide a pattern already. With Dolphin 17.12.3 under Kubuntu 18.04 I can only find a very basic multiple-files renaming tool, that only allows for numbering the files but erasing their original name. Is my installation missing something ? From a duplicate report of this one, somebody also mentioned XFCE's Thunar and its excellent tool : https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/bulk-renamer/start When I was using it under XFCE I felt it offered everything I could require. I'm not trying to tell KDE developers what to say, but as somebody who came to Plasma for an interface with more "breadth", and very satisfied, it just seems odd to me that such a feature isn't included. If the developers are working on it though, great and kudos to them. |
