(Not sure if this is the right place to post this..)

Following the redesign introduced in system settings page, I think that Dolphin (and other KDE apps too) settings pages should adopt the same sidebar style, not only for consistency, but also for a more modern and intuitive look. 

In the attached image, the window on the left is the current style, and the window on the right is the proposed one.

Please discuss design decisions with the VDG instead of in a bug tracker.

Having the "Defaults" button inside the item list looks just wrong.

Please check if this works for you:

systemsettings > Application/Widget Style > Configure Breeze > Frames tab > Draw Frame around page titles

Removing the frame causes the colors to match. If you want different colors, they need to be separated by a line for consistency with all other elements.

EDIT: Draw frame around side panels, of course ... but I have both enabled.
