Description A Sentient Chicken Nugget 2018-11-26 00:55:20 UTC
SUMMARY
Umm, so I was drawing, as usual, and suddenly when I tried pressing down on my tablet to draw, it would just freeze the mouse and wouldn't allow me to do anything untill I let go. I checked to make sure that it wasn't a tablet issue with other software and just using it on other things on my computer, and it just wouldn't work on Krita. Same thing with the mouse. Whenever I would right click to do anything on Krita it would just freeze the mouse. I opened it anc closed it multiple times. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Krita to see if that would fix it, which it didn't. Thanks for the help!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Krita.
2. Open existing file or open new file.
3. Right click.

OBSERVED RESULT
Mouse freezes and won't move. It tracks your mouse and sets it in the ending place, it just won't let you do anything wether it be freehand drawing, erasing, resizing something, anything.

EXPECTED RESULT
Do what it's supposed to do and draw, erase, resize, whatever its selected to do.

Does it happen on the UI, too, or just on canvas? Do you use OpenGL? Could you please disable OpenGL and try drawing again?

Also try to delete Krita configuration file, the instruction is here: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration

Other possible solution: check if you're not trying to draw on a group layer (probably not, unless you're always testing it on the same .kra file, but still worth checking).

Besides you should always use/try the newest version of Krita (in time of writing, it is Krita 4.1.5) if you report the bug - that way you're sure it hasn't been fixed yet (at least not in official releases).

PS. This is (I believe) not a very good bug report - usually you are supposed to make bug reports to report a specific thing that you know shouldn't happen *and* you know why it happens that way or you at least know how to make it happen the wrong way. In this case, you have an issue with Krita, it's true, but you don't know what might be the cause or how to trigger the wrong behaviour. Because of that the better option is to ask people on forum or on reddit (in near future, on the ask website) for help, since there are people who know the inside of Krita and can give you advice that will help nail down the issue (and determine if there is a problem in Krita code or outside of it). If something is actually a bug, they will tell you to report it.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Krita developer.
