Bug 401323

Summary: Kde wallet as firefox password manager
Product: [Plasma] plasma-browser-integration Reporter: PK <pieterkristensen>
Component: FirefoxAssignee: Kai Uwe Broulik <kde>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal

Description PK 2018-11-23 07:16:18 UTC
SUMMARY
Firefox uses its own password manager and stores passwords in the firefox user profile. To protect the passwords you can use a masterpassword in ff. But it would be convenient if the kde wallet took over this function.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0
Qt Version: 5.11.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It would be very practical if the kde wallet took over the password managent of firefox and at the same time keep the firefox sync function fully in tact.
There are the "firefox lockbox extension" https://mozilla-lockbox.github.io/ and the "firefox addon for kwallet KDE5" https://store.kde.org/p/1080814/ , but they don't seem to work.
