Under which distribution does this happen? KDE Neon. I believe I've seen the same thing on Manjaro. On the one hand, this is obviously an appstream ID mismatch that's not Discover's fault. On the other hand, we could probably make this better by listing the source in the Delegate. Then people could at least see what the difference between the two entries is. That's tracked by Bug 399530. Duping to that. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 399530 *** |
Created attachment 116392 [details] Which GIMP is better? SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Discover 2. Click Settings, enable Flatpak integrations 3. Go back to the application list, sort by name OBSERVED RESULT There is a lot of doubled content from the very beginning of list, with items of the same name yet with different descriptions (for example: AbiWord: Compose, edit, and view documents and AbiWord: A word processor). There is no indication about source of given application. EXPECTED RESULT Items from the flatpak sources could be in some way colored or labeled, to avoid confusion.
