Description francis 2018-11-14 13:08:32 UTC
SUMMARY
send/receive files no longer possible

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open kde on both pc (kubuntu 18.04) and phone (SM-G950F android 8.0.0)
2. open dolphin, mount device 'SM-G950F', try to descend into folders
3. folders on SM-G950F not accessible because: "The file or folder /run/user/1000/3fa9a3a3b9d609b6/storage/emulated/0 does not exist." so not possible to copy anything to/from the phone via dolphin
4. sending file from phone to pc doesn't work either any more
5. worked before
5. other functions (multimedia control, remote input, ..) still working

Comment 1 Albert Vaca Cintora 2018-11-14 13:41:06 UTC
You need kdeconnect 1.3.2 at least on the desktop.
Comment 2 francis 2018-11-16 10:46:14 UTC
is it known why it doesn't work any more?
is it an android update that caused it?
unfortunately only 1.3.1 is available for bionic and there doesn't seem to be a ppa that delivers v 1.3.2 or higher, right?
Comment 3 francis 2018-11-29 07:17:59 UTC
I was wrong, there is a ppa (https://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/kubuntu_updates?dist=bionic) and new version of kdeconnect (1.3.3) is available since 2018-11-17.
I've tested it and indeed problems solved.
