reproducible: open dolphin enable the info panel (F11) seelct some jpg file (observe "Tags" shown in info panel) open the select file with gwenview press ctrl+t to edit tags write any text and click "+" button to add the tag back to dolphin window "Tags" in info panel does not show the tag added with gwenview seelct another file and reselect the same file used with gwenview Now Dolphin's info panel shows the tag added with gwenview Dolphin and gwenview 18.12.2 Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0 Qt Version: 5.12.1 *** Bug 416388 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 417017 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 417700 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Humm, currently if a tag is assigned/removed to/from a file via context menu of Dolphin, "Tags" column of details view mode is immediately updated and "Tags" item of information panel is only updated after we deselect and select the modified file again. If a tag is assigned/removed to/from a file via information panel, both "Tags" column and "Tags" section of information panel are immediately updated. But "Tags" section of places panel is never immediately updated after we assign/remove a tag to/from a file. Dolphin needs to be restarted.
