SUMMARY
i cant believe you dont know about this, if so juat ignore.
i downloaded kdenlive 18.08.2 appimage from your website.
the first time i run kdenlive appimage it has a dark background
and i cannot change the height of the timeline window, it just snaps back.
if i exit and run it a second time, it comes up with a white background and i can
resize the timeline height. if i remove the kdenlive-appimagerc file then
when i run it, it gives me the dark background again but no timeline resize.
i prefer the dark background with the ability to resize the timeline.

i downloaded kdenlive 18.04.1 appimage and it does not have the timeline
resize problem. however it changes to a white background on all runs after
the first.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. download appimage, run, resize timeline, exit, run, resize timeline
2.
3.

settings -> themes -> breeze-dark will fix the problems
but i have to do it every time i run kdenlive, it does not remember.
this should be changed to minor in importance.

I confirm. I had the same problem with the new AppImage 18.08.3 yesterday.

It seems that this report is related to a old unmaintained version. A lot changed since then and it is likely that this has been fixed.

Feel free to reopen this bug or create a new report if this is still happening with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)
