- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Start kdenlive then select quit from the menu. This always happens, I don't even have to use the program. Just start it and shut it down from the quit option in the file menu, and there is always a segfault.
I've tried submitting a similar crash report using drkonqi, but it always fails.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

This is the second time drkonqi has failed to send the crash report, so I'm creating a bug manually and pasting the report drkonqi was trying to send.

drkonqi fails with an error message saying:

'Error sending the crash report:/Received unexpected error code 143 from bugzilla. Error message was: The process for the https://bugs.kde.org protocol died unexpectedly../'

Maybe something with the graphic card. Update the graphic card driver and try with the actual Kdenlive AppImage version 18.08.2

Please try with the actual Kdenlive AppImage version 18.08.2
Run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage folder and run the .AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage

First and foremost, please test with latest available version 18.08.3.

I upgraded the packages on the Gentoo system. Kdenlive is now at the latest version. 'equery l -p kdenlive' now shows 'kde-apps/kdenlive-18.08.3:5'. The bug is now fixed. 

Starting the program and selecting quit from the menu no longer causes a segfault, and drkonqi no longer is automatically triggered.

I guess this bug can be closed, or marked as resolved, I don't know what the exact terminology is.
