Description kdenlivebeagle 2018-10-12 14:00:27 UTC
We have MP4 files that generate multiple channels of audio. KDEnlive only knows how to open the first channel.

Workaround discussed here: https://medium.com/@alex285/kdenlive-18-04-working-with-multiple-audio-channels-5ad471ae0f8

There should be a way to be able to split out *all* of the audio channels from an mp4 container file so that we don't have to use Audacity to export wav files in order to start the job. Should be pretty easy.

Thanks!

To understand you correctly: From a stereo (or 5.1) audio file you want to extract 1 channel and have then a mono channel?

Access to all channels has been added last year; channel routing is still a work in progress...
