What do you mean by "rename the file system"? (In reply to Kai Uwe Broulik from comment #1) > What do you mean by "rename the file system"? sorry, renaming the file system label in KDE Partition Manager. Does this happen with other disks too, or just NTFS disks? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Does this happen with other disks too, or just NTFS disks? looks like only NTFS disks. ive only tested against one other non NTFS disk. its the mount labeled 'Neon' which is actually fedora 29 beta. it seems to mount in a non hidden state correctly after renaming of the file system label. Thanks, that's helpful. Seems like maybe some corner case relating to Bug 392913. Are your renamed NTFS disks still hidden after a reboot? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5) > Thanks, that's helpful. Seems like maybe some corner case relating to Bug > 392913. > > Are your renamed NTFS disks still hidden after a reboot? yep. and they are hidden when i boot into another KDE distro in multi boot setup. in my case kubuntu and fedora 29 beta. i just tried a fresh install of neon with plasma 5.14 and did not have this issue: neon-useredition-20181009-1029-amd64.iso Well that's nice! Let's see if it also reproduces with a fresh user account on one of the affected systems. Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you! |
