SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open chat to another Jabber user

OBSERVED RESULT
Observe an Error dialog by KIOExec with the message "File not found: data:text/html;...".  It looks like the chat history window is missing (looks like a flat white space without bevels)

A chat window

I can confirm this on kde neon as well.

Whats interesting is that when I build ktp-text-ui from source it works just fine. (using ktp-common-internals at kaffeine-spacebar branch if that matters)

The message dialog contains the code for the adium theme it seems

Dear user, unfortunately Telepathy is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
