Description Jan Neumann 2018-09-15 13:06:18 UTC
It would be great if I could issue a command from my Android phone via a shortcut on my home screen on Android. It allows for much faster execution (faster than opening the KDE Connect app, pressing Run Command and then choosing the appropriate command).

My personal use case is desktop session unlocking: I have a long password and no fingerprint reader on my laptop, but I do have a fingerprint reader on my phone, so I use this to unlock my laptop using my phone, as it is faster than typing my password.

There will be a Run command widget that you can place on your home screen for that

Adding a shortcut option, despite having a widget, would allow for automation apps (i.e. Tasker, MacroDroid) to use it.
