Would like to use digiKam for video management as well.  
  - For preview purposes it would be very helpful to be able to rotate a video.   
  - Just a couple video editing tools like ability to trim would also be very helpful.
  - Ability to import / export from youtube.

In the video preview you can rotate the video image with the right mouse button over the view clockwise. In digiKam-6.0.0-beta1 the orientation flag is recognized if it is present in the video and then automatically rotated (manual is still possible).

Hello,

Thanks for the tip "right click to clockwize", ti is very helpful.

I'm also very interested by video editing features, at least "trimming" would be great :)  Is it planned ?

By waiting, what do you use/recommand to basic video editing ?

Hi,
I tried some applications and found losslesscut and avidemux goods for my needs : i can just drop a file from digikam to the app and cut unwanted part lossless. With losslesscut i alos be abled to modify orientation tag which was bad.

But it could be great to have similar tools include in digikam :)
