Description BlackHand 2018-09-07 16:33:46 UTC
Hi Team,

When creating an animation, the 1st key frame is the only frame visible on playback and rendering.
It doesn't matter if you create from duplicate or insert blank frame.
Once you alter the subsequent frames you can even see the variation in color of the onion layers and all edits, then upon playback it's a still image of the original key frame with no animation.
Rendering to gif is problematic as well (I will open a separate ticket for this).
I was able to get my first animation to operate properly, however, upon reopening the same file and adding more frames, the added frames don't animate.
Please let me know what extra info you need and I am happy to provide.

Hello BlackHand,

I was unable to reproduce the issue in the latest nightly version. Can you check whether the issue is still reproducible at your end. If the issue still persists at your end, can you please also check if using the "Nightly" version of Krita resolves the issue.

Sorry for the delayed response.
Upon returning to duplicate the issue, I was unable to reproduce it as well.
It seems this bug has resolved itself, (semi-frustrating - but important that it works).

Thank you team!
