Description Alexander Gray 2018-09-07 01:29:32 UTC
I'm using Windows 10 (x86_64) with a Wacom Cintiq 22HD and my stylus loses connectivity if the pen goes more than a half inch away from my tablet, and it doesn't recognize the stylus when it comes back into range to move the cursor or when the stylus is making contact with the tablet. The only way that the stylus will reconnect is if I hover the stylus over anything other than the canvas (Tools, Brushes, Colors, Etc) and I keep the stylus in that half inch range onto the canvas. The stylus acts correctly in every other program I have as well as on my browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1: Open Krita
2: Open/Load file
3: Use stylus
4: Lift stylus away from canvas

Actual Results: Stylus isn't recognized when it leaves drawing/hover range

Expected Results: Stylus should reconnect no matter how far it is taken from the tablet

Hi,
do these suggestions help in your case?: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373760#c2
Have you tried to (quoting https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398085#c2):

* Check whether a newer or an older driver for your tablet fixes the issue
* Check whether resetting the driver's configuration fixes the issue (this will reset your tablets configuration, thus you will need to recalibrate/reconfigure it)
* Check whether resetting Krita's settings (https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration) fixes the issue.

Hey,

I reset Krita configuration, that didn't work.
I reset Wacom configuration, that didn't work either.
I also installed an older Wacom driver, still nothing.
I finally switched to the Windows 8 Pointer API through Krita: Settings ‣ Configure Krita ‣ Tablet, and it is now working like a charm.

Thanks,
Alex G
