The project view

I have multiple kate projects that are based on GIT repositories.

Two of them show all files twice in the "Project" view of kate (see attached screenshot).

It didn't do that until maybe a month ago, but I'm not sure which update triggered the problem (I'm on Tumbleweed so I get pretty regular updates).

Thank you for the great work you're doing on Kate!

I can confirm this bug. Using Kate 18.08.2 on Arch Linux, every file in the "Project" view is shown twice in my Git repositories.

I have a same issue with Kate 18.08.2 in Manjaro Linux.
Comment 3 FiNeX 2018-12-13 11:32:46 UTC
Confirmed on latest version using Archlinux (Kate 18.08.3).
Comment 4 Timothy Baldwin 2018-12-29 08:45:15 UTC
Confirmed on Debian buster armhf

Git bisected to commit 0a96383144e11a6608cbee6a233ffafc4007704d

Sample project: https://github.com/TimothyEBaldwin/RISC_OS_Linux_Source

If I remove the .gitmodules file it displays correctly.
