When storing new/updated secrets for existing 802.11x connection settings via the KCM "for this user only" (i.e. in KWallet) the secret/password is not actually updated.


Steps to reproduce:

 0. Use a PGP backed KWallet instance (may or may not be relevant?)
 1. Edit an existing Wifi connection's secret/password string
 2. Apply changes
 3. Quit the network connections KCM
 4. Open the KCM, navigate to the 'altered' connection settings
 5. Observe: the password/secret remains unaltered.

This happens both with PEAP based connections & simple WPA2-PSK ones.

This is especially annoying in the context of PEAP because passwords are typically associated to some account and subject to password refresh policies...

I confirm this bug. I have to delete the network then enter the new password to get it work.

Thank you for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to look into it yet. A lot has changed since it was reported; can I ask you to see if this is still an issue with Plasma 6.4 or later? Thanks a lot!
