Does not start after install when the installer has uninstalled 5.9.0 and then installed 6.0 B1 - 6.0 won't run!

Why doesn't the installer convert settings file from 5.9.0. to 6.0 compatibility?

Short term gum and glue fix?

Please try the updated Windows Installer package from here:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

The cause can be a problem with the used lensfun version under Windows10, which has been corrected.

The Windows installer have been recompiled with last changes from source code and is available here for testing :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Take a care : it's a beta release. Make a database backup before to test.

I can confirm the crash when starting Digikam 6.0.0 on Windows 7 (64bit) with the older installer.
With the new installer (from Oct 2nd), it now starts, so I guess this bug can be closed.
