Not really a bug,but shouldn't we hide the "Touchscreen Settings" in "Desktop Behaviour" by default if the display is not touch enabled like we hide the touchpad settings on a desktop.

I would expect so, yes. In addition, we shouldn't set any touch-specific settings if it's not a touch-enabled screen, since it caused bugs. See Bug 387775.

Hot corners don't have anything to do with touch
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2018-08-30 20:34:57 UTC
No hot corners involved here, just the Touch Screen KCM. :)

The link in #1

The link is to Bug 387775, which is about a still-reproducible bug with the Touch Screen Edge provided by the Touch Screen KCM. People are talking about hotcorners in it, but I'm not sure that's relevant.

But anyway, that was just an unrelated comment (oops) and I think the OP is right that we don't need to show the Touch Screen KCM when the hardware has no touchscreen capabilities.

Yes Nate, new users are already complaining about so many configuration options.I come from the school of thought that believes customization is the key to full control else we should be using Windows but listing what we can't change/use is superfluous.
Thanks for confirming.
