This issue report is quite old. Can you please confirm, that it still persists with KDE 5.23? I am no longer using the laptop where I was using nouveau. I still have it, but I will have to run an upgrade on it first. I will try to get that done within the next week or so. My old laptop has died completely, so I will not be able to verify this with a newer KDE. My new laptop only uses i915. You can close this as far as I am concerned. |
Created attachment 114581 [details] Screenshot showing the problem Sometimes after a while and when moving the mouse cursor to the status bar, the status bar incl. start menu graphics become all garbled like in the attached screenshot. Some widgets like the clock, Thermal Monitor and System Load Viewer stay ok. I am using latest Gentoo (profile default/linux/amd64/17.0/desktop/plasma) and nouveau drivers. Problem occurs both with and without an external monitor attached.
