I can not get past sketching or finish a quick sketch without it constantly just shutting by itself without warning. Nothing pops up afterwards, the application just closes completely by itself

Well, that's obviously not normal, but specific for your system. However, you're not giving us any information about your system, not even which OS you're using,. so we cannot begin to guess what might be up.

* Please add the output of help/system information for bug reports to this report.
* Check whether resetting your configuration helps (https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration)
* Check whether disabling canvas acceleration helps (settings/configure krita/display)
* If you're on Windows 10, check whether you have any "security" software installed other than Windows Defender
* Run a memory checker to see whether your hardware is not broken.

I am running Krita on Windows 10 and do habe some security softwares installed. Should I turn off the security programs and reinstall?

I will try to do the other things suggested too.

Depending on which security software that is, it might be implicated, so you could try to run Krita with that software turned off.

Your suggestions worked! Thank you so much. After I turned off all my security softwares, it still crashed so I turned off the canvas accelerator and it stopped.

There was another issue that popped up with Krita not responding to the pressure from my pen, but it started working again and I can art smoothly once more. Thank you a bunch
