Description Jan van Bekkum 2018-08-10 10:27:37 UTC
The issue described happens on every occasion so far.
Steps I took:
- Remove a specific tag from all images with that tag
- Synchronize
- Select Delete unused tags
- OK

DigiKam then crashes. After restarting it appears that the tags marked for deletion have disappeared.

Can you reproduce the dysfunction with the 6.0.0 pre-release Windows installer available here :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Also, please catch the debug trace with the DebugView program from Microsoft as explained here :

https://www.digikam.org/contribute/

Thanks in advance

The backtrace is not suitable. There is nothing to hack in this file.

I created the file according to the instructions I found. Any better instruction? by the way after the event reported I couldn't start 6.0.0 anymore. It crashed in the splash screen.

yes under windows the official 6.0.0-beta1 has a problem with the internal Lensfun library (alpha versino)

This now fixed with installer here :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

These 2 new crash report appear when you delete unused tags or when you start digiKam ?

There is no debug trace inside, only technical details aboyt the system when crash appear.

digiKam 7.0.0 stable release is now published and now available as FlatPak:

https://www.digikam.org/news/2020-07-19-7.0.0_release_announcement/

We need a fresh feedback on this file using this version.

Thanks in advance
