Thanks for your message. If we implemented your suggestion, changing options after the fact should also work for all of the other options. However, I don't think that's feasible from a performance and memory perspective, because the number of possible combinations would just be too high. The workflow is supposed to be like this: - Set options. - Take screenshot. - Save. Other apps use a more wizard-like workflow, but I think that's tedious and the current way serves most Spectacle users well enough. --- I suppose your use case was to exclude the mouse pointer after you took the screenshot, because you had no use for it? If so, we probably rather should disable the mouse pointer by default, see Bug 397121. You are right, I actually didn't consider all possible combinations and I also somehow hadn't seen the "Take a new screenshot button". With this in mind I think this FR can be closed. |
