I'm not sure about that. The menu is already overloaded, and I'd rather remove "Add paint layer" than add all other layer types to the menu. The new menu addition would be on a sub-menu, so we do have the space. I think the top main menu is kind of a learning tool, or "pedagogic vector" in UI terms. It helps users see what functionality exists in a program when they are first learning it. I am actually going to side with the bug reporter on this one. I don't think it will be used as commonly as the existing ones, so I would put all the layer types at the bottom separated with a section divider. Okay, it should be as easy as editing the krita4.xmlgui file. |
