Description Murz 2018-08-06 06:17:01 UTC
I run update process for 20 packages, it goes long time (more than 10 minutes and show 0%), and I want to know what is happens now. I press on 'Tasks (0%)' and see only the popup panel with no useful info "Update - Installing" and empty progress bar, here is screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/MEs6W2g.png

Please show more info about update process and current running task!

And optionally will be good to see command line output from running apt process, to review and understand the problems.

Now there are more than 1,5 hours gone, but update process still at 0%, and I even can't close the Discover window with error "Could not close the application, there are tasks that need to be done."!

And there are no ways to review the source of current update process problem!

What version of Discover (or KDE Plasma) are you using? And on what distro and version of that distro?
Comment 3 Murz 2018-08-10 09:21:08 UTC
System is Kubuntu (Ubuntu) Linux 18.04.
Discover version is 2.1.2-8, Plasma 5.12.6.
Older versions of Discover have same problem, is something changed in Plasma 5.13 concerning this issue?

Yes, this has been improved in both 5.13 and the upcoming 5.14. Let's call it fixed for now, but once you can upgrade, re-open the bug if it's still not to your satisfaction. Thanks!
