It happens always when I try to open the transactions view for all accounts. I am able to open transactions from a specific account (e.g., via Accounts view) but any time I try to click "Transactions" or choose "All accounts" from transactions view menu, it crashes immediately.

Could you generate traces like this ?
From the console:
export SKGTRACE=8
skrooge 2>&1 > traces.txt

Hi,

I found a bug causing a crash when a sort is applied on a column of a grouped view.
This will be in 2.15.0 version. 

Could you confirm that you don't have the crash with the new 2.15.0 version.

Fixed on 2.15.0
