Hi,

In Kubuntu 18.04, from live USB key or after fresh install, there is a problem with Folder View widgets.

If you add a Folder View widgets on the desktop, and try to display a folder with ISO files, default ISO file icon not always display, depending of type of ISO files.

In attachement, you can see the bug with 3 type of .ISO extension files :
- icon is the good ISO icon for Linux ISO files.
- icon is TXT icon for gparted ISO file.
- there is non icon for MS Windows ISO files.

You can easyly test this issue with live USB key of Kubuntu 18.04.

Regards,

Sam.

Please state the Plasma version. You can find it in kinfocenter. I don't know what different downstreams have.

Are these icons correct in dolphin?

Plasma version : 5.12.6
Icons are correct in Dolphin for the same ISO files.

Re-assigning to KIO then (I have seen this bug myself occasionally, I bet there is also a bug report for it already)

Hi,

As of now, I'm still on Kubuntu 18.04.06 LTS, with the latest patches, and I can reproduce the issue.
