All layers are hidden but the picture is still there

I copied and pasted a picture to Krita to use for reference, rather than using the docker, but now I can't get rid of it. As you can see in the attached photos, even when I hide each layer, it still appears; I can't move it, erase it, etc. -- It's just always there, covering a portion of the drawing. When I save it as a PNG it gets rid of it, but as of right now, it poses an issue for coloring what's underneath

Hm... I am afraid we can't actually figure out what is causing this without the kra file.

Can you attach it?

Select the reference image tool (it's the pin icon in the toolbox), select the reference image and press delete.
