crash log

Of course the window doesn't get closed. This is the result of releasing after 0 testing.

I suspected that the problem is that I'm not using Breeze window decorations (why does KDE support theming when nothing other than Breeze works???), so I tried to change decorations to Breeze, but (guess what?) Systemsettings crashes when opening the window decorations tab. <slow clap>

systemsettings crash

One more thing: right click on window title, More Actions, Window Manager Settings... doesn't do anything.

Unfortunately the backtrace is lacking debug symbols. If you are able to reproduce please install debug packages and attach a new backtrace.

>(guess what?) Systemsettings crashes when opening the window decorations tab. <slow clap>

Don't do sarcastic comments in a development tracker.

You can restore your window settings by deleting ~/.config/kwinrc

I installed the debug packages for kwin and libkdecorations2, and now I can't reproduce the crash. It might be a packaging problem. I'm sorry for the tone, I got really frustrated when I saw everything crashing.
Comment 5 David Edmundson 2018-07-21 16:47:51 UTC
It's not a packaging problem, I think I've fixed the first problem.

Second crash of systemsettings is interesting, it's unrelated :/

what are you using?

I'm using Plastik. Its colored window border allows me to see more clearly which window is active than Breeze's shadows.
