Please can someone acknowledge/advise? I'm keen to continue using kmail, but it's a nuisance having to keep restarting the imap resource every few minutes. Your report doesn't contain the backtrace. Have a look at https://techbase.kde.org/KDE_PIM/Akonadi/Development_Tools#Debugging_Akonadi_Agents if drkonqi doesn't appear when the imap resource crashes. Thanks; I hadn't come across that page. drkonqi doesn't appear so I will follow that advice Delighted to report that the crash appears to be fixed with Kmail 18.08 and the other kdepim 18.08 packages which have recently entered Debian unstable. |
Created attachment 113928 [details] IMAP logs My previously perfect UK online imap hosting was sold to a company called Pickaweb. The server phantom.hostingseries.net runs Dovecot, I think 2.2.? I now get akonadi crashes every few minutes (my mail check is set at 5 minutes) org.kde.pim.imapresource: Applying collection changes org.kde.pim.imapresource: Retrieval complete. Elapsed(ms): 9756 org.kde.pim.akonadicontrol: ProcessControl: Application "/usr/bin/akonadi_imap_resource" stopped unexpectedly ( "Process crashed" ) org.kde.pim.akonadicontrol: Application '/usr/bin/akonadi_imap_resource' crashed. No restart! I have attached the initial log, and a shortened version of the next one. How would I proceed?
