Description kurtwlange 2018-07-12 04:09:51 UTC
I was attempting to set up a new palette for a drawing I am coloring.

I attempted to create color groups first then add colors to them.

I created a group, then a second, then on the third it crashes.

This also happens if I create the groups after adding a color to another.

In addition, when I added colors to a group they neither appeared nor were there any indication that the color id count increased.

I am aware that in the version I was using the day before the colors would not appear until there were several added.

I originally encountered this bug using Krita 4.0.0, but it was not encountered earlier as I have been able to add colors and groups the day before, I did update my windows this morning so that may be a clue.

Thank you.

Hi Kurt,

The palette docker is currently being rewritten. We hope to have the results in Krita 4.1. I thought I had fixed the last crash in the old palette docker, though. Could you try to make a crash log for me? See https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/dr_minw_debugger.html#dr-minw

I'm sorry, but the only crash logs I can find all refer to incidents from a year ago, unless the crash logger is getting the dates wrong I can't provide one.

I did double check and make sure krita is logging in the configure krita menu.
I even tried to use windows screen record but it doesn't show pop up boxes.

Any advice on what more I can do?

I believe that the reason I cannot provide a back-trace is because the crash doesn't provide a crash dialog, it simply closes unexpectedly, no explanation is given.

The same thing happened when I accidentally tried to make a quick clipping group from a colorize mask.

In both cases there was no crash dialog, it simply closed with out warning.

Also should I create a separate bug report for the other incident?
