Showing the "clip is invalid."

I have been trying to add a clip to my very first project. However, I keep getting a message, "clip is invalid, will be moved from project." I've tried BOTH .avi and .mp4 video formats. As a test, I used the video Piano.avi from Kdenlive. Please see if this is a BUG issue!

Does the clip play in VLC (for example)? If not download the clip again from: granjow.net/uploads/kdenlive/manual/kdenlive-tutorial-videos-2011-avi.tar.bz2
