Description Flo Edelmann 2018-06-27 20:06:02 UTC
The option "disable touchpad while typing" is pretty useful. However, zooming through holding the Control key down and zooming with a two finger swipe is not possible, since the touchpad is disabled as soon as I press the Ctrl key.

There should be an option to set the Ctrl key as an exception to the "disable touchpad while typing" thing (or even make it the default).

Actually, I just noticed that this problem is only present in certain applications, others behave correctly.

Zooming not possible while touchpad is disabled:
* Okular
* Dolphin

Zooming possible while while touchpad is otherwise disabled:
* Firefox
* Konsole
* LibreOffice
* KWrite
* Visual Studio Code
* Chromium

tested here:
okular
dolphin
firefox
konsole
chromium
Opera browser

I only can't adjust the zoom level with ctrl+scrolling of chromium and Opera.
But I think this is not related to this report because unchekling "Disable touchpad while typing" setting does no difference.

Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.58.0
Qt Version: 5.12.0

This is effectively fixed by the Libinput version of the page, which is the only one that's supported in Plasma 6.
