This is desired behavior, you can disable it from Tasks (advanced settings) -> Activate tasks through mouse wheel Has there been a discussion whether that's a sensible default setting? (Especially when the setting is hidden behind the advanced toggle in the settings) Starting applications with the mouse wheel feels like pretty uncommon behavior. I don't mind there be a setting for it, but as the default I think this isn't exactly in line with HIG / UX conventions. (In reply to Christian Muehlhaeuser from comment #2) > Has there been a discussion whether that's a sensible default setting? I dont think so, the discussion existed in old github issues page which I cant find it. > (Especially when the setting is hidden behind the advanced toggle in the > settings) this is the right place to be in my opinion. Latte isnt plasma project but kde project, that means that changes apply only after approval from Latte dev team, unfortunately that would be just me for now. when you are using mouse which is most of the cases there is no reason to use mouse wheel over a task except if you need it. Mouse wheel is also consistent when you have multiple windows grouped in order to cycle between them. I suppose you are using laptop and you activated through touchpad? > I don't mind there be a setting for it, but as the default I think > this isn't exactly in line with HIG / UX conventions. if you can forward references for this, we can discuss it... Just take into account that for Latte the main use case is: "A dock that provides launchers/tasks and is set at Dodge Active". This is the main audience and all other choices should be supplementary. |
