I have a proposal how to make the usage of wifi more convenient in Plasma network manager. At the moment there is the problem that the network often manager connects to open networks of Hotspot providers because I have used them somewhere before. Since they use the same network name for all their Hotspots it is really annoying if network manager connects to them even if there is an encrypted higher quality network available. Since https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387920 which would allow the manual sorting of networks easier can not fixed soon, I want to suggest another way of addressing this problem. All open networks one has connected to before should become the lowest priority automatically. So changing it manually would not really often be needed.

We won't really be doing any automatic prioritizing or de-prioritizing. I don't think it's a good idea, you cannot assume what networks people want to use. It should be up to them to do this.

I think it would be quite common that people would prefer to connect to a password protected encrypted network over an open unencrypted network. Of course not for everyone, but that is what options are for?
