Are you talknig about keyboard layout indicator or keyboard indicator? Bug persists here. The current state, at least for me, is caps lock indicator doesn't work at all and keyboard layout indicator shows only keyboard icon, not a name of language like on Xorg. I'm taking about the two LEDs on the keyboard that light when Caps lock and / or Num lock are enabled.
