Description Jaak Ristioja 2018-06-13 10:25:31 UTC
The "Check mail interval" input field in the "IMAP account settings" dialog does not allow intervals shorter than 5 minutes. I require an interval of 1 minute or even shorter.

Ideally, KMail would use the IMAP IDLE extension (RFC 2177) for instant notifications. Although there seem to be some bugs related to KMail and IMAP IDLE in this bugzilla, but I found no option to toggle it in KMail, nor any information about whether/when it is enabled or not.

Please allow users to specify intervals shorter than 5 minutes as well.

Yes, PLEASE allow users to specify intervals shorter than 5 minutes; preferably less than a minute or even 30 seconds. This is imperative for using my email effectively, and being able to receive messages in a timely manner.
Thank you.
