The selection tools simply don't work. All selection tools outlines disappears. Trying to use Control T just makes the selection invisible. The selection can be change (rotated etc.) in this state, but it's not seeable. Only by clicking off then on the layer can the transformed image to be seen. Trying to manipulate the image again causes it to disappear again.

Not showing the selection outline when the transform tool is active is intentional because we transform the contents of the layer, not the selection.

Do you also see no selection outline if the transform tool is not active? That might be an issue with the canvas renderer, so try to disable canvas acceleration or switch between opengl and angle.
