This seems like there's some misconfiguration on your system. Qt is crashing at boot. You can try to run it from a terminal and see the error it's giving, it could give some information. Created attachment 113124 [details]

plasma-discover (5.12.5) using Qt 5.9.5
- What I was doing when the application crashed: opening discover from system tray for an update after a reboot, caused by an X.org crash.
- Unusual behavior I noticed: X.org crashed after a reboot, I rebooted after my lock screen engaged and broke during an update.
