Can confirm, this is still an issue. I have some panels configured for the monitors which I currently don't have physical access to, and I can't get built-in menus to show up again, unless I use the new feature "Panels and Desktops Management" window from Plasma edit mode to manually remove all the offending panels — or at least Global Menu applets from them. *** Bug 408661 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm not able to reproduce this on Plasma 6.1.5 or git-master on Wayland I followed the steps from the duplicate bug STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Plug in the second display 2. Add appmenu plasmoid e.g. as "Application menu bar" panel to both primary and secondary displays 3. Unplug the display 4. (Optional) reboot/restart DE/computer/forger about the display entirely 5. Delete any existing appmenu plasmoids available from the primary display. 6. Restart Plasma session 7. Launch any application known to work with appmenu Launching kate, kwrite, or Dolphin, I see their menus Also, I see their menus with or without any global menu panel / widget. The UI has changed a lot. I'm going to close this as fixed. if you can still reproduce this on a current version of Plasma, please feel free to re-open the report. |
